Named Khepera (variation from Khepri),
She is the Warrior/Guardian of the one the most ancient Gods of Egypt, Khepri.
Derived from the Scarab Beetle, it is said that he created the universe with his own shadow.
More recently, he is known for being the God of Rebirth, Transformation and Resurrection, and connected to the Sun god Ra.
Khepera is a reflection, mirage, fragment of Khepri, manifested. She has the power to transform vast deserts into lush Oasis, and to resurrect lost and perishing souls that wander too far out in the Sahara, but only if they have balanced hearts.
She's the guardian of sacred things like water, life and anything that Khepri blesses.
Formidable warrior, she is there to keep the universe balanced.
I have always loved ancient Egyptian lore and mythology, and felt more than compelled to create a character that I could pour my passion into.
I extensively researched this subject for personal fun, as I love watching excavating documentaries and other Egyptian docs. Their attention to detail and meticulous artwork is more than inspiring!
I couldn't not be excited looking further into this subject and their artwork from the past.
